And just what is the Soundfile, you ask?
The Tenchi Muyo Soundfile is a Japanese-import laserdisc (PILA-1241)
which contains 8 music videos made of clippings from OAVs 1-7 and a few original
sources. As far as we know, Pioneer has not released a domestic counterpart. However,
the laserdisc is relatively inexpensive - costing only 3000 yen (the same price
as your typical anime CD).
At this point, we would like to have a chapter/track listing of all the songs
on the Soundfile, but we are still in the process of translating the titles. We
do, however, know the title of the third chapter - "Oujosama
to oyobi!" ^_^
I bet you now want to know where you can pick up this LD.
Well, we can't really help you much, but Allan got his copy from the UCI
Anime Store. It took three months of waiting and pacing, but it was
well worth it. -_^
Also stocking the Soundfile is Tokyo
Pop, Mike Kiley's (formerly of the UCI Anime Store) new endeavor.
Please don't ask us to send you a VHS copy of the Soundfile.
Such requests will be ignored.
